A cancellation now stops a request in flight instead of waiting for a phase boundary, and cancellations report the caller's own reason.
- An explicit cancellation closes the request's connection mid-exchange, waking a blocked read or write at once; the closed connection is never returned to the pool.
cancelPendingstops every request in flight, wherever it is.- Timeouts are unchanged: a deadline that passes still answers a timeout, while an explicit cancellation answers with the reason given.
