This is a callable function.

What it does

The value stored under a key, or the given fallback when the key is not in

the domain.

The fallback is not the "missing value" case an ordinary map has — every key

in the domain has a value. It is for a key from outside the domain

altogether, which is a different mistake and one the caller can usually rule

out. get is the total form for when they can.
