Std.App.Password.parse

1 declaration

fn

parse: Str -> Result[Std.App.Password.Stored, Std.App.Password.PasswordError]

This is a callable function.

What it does

A stored form read back from that text.

A form that cannot be read is a failure rather than a form that matches

nothing: a password that silently never verifies looks exactly like a

person who forgot theirs, and the two need different answers.

Read the signature

  • The text after the name is the type checked by Pudu.
  • Read arrows from left to right: inputs come first, and the final type is returned.
  • Names inside [ ] are type arguments, such as the item type held by a collection.
  • Result makes success and recoverable failure part of the function's type.
